Hey found another use for the bags - as make-shift umbrella or cover when it rains!

LOL!

When I first started using reusable bags, the girl at the counter used to put my groceries in the plastic bags & then put them in my reusable bags. I guess common sense is not that common after all...

Haa haa..especially for the wet items i.e fish, chicken etc...right Salwa? From their expression, I think they're worried that it might spoil the pretty reusable bags..! So I always have to inform them that it's okay and that I can rinse and dry the bag later at home.

Once, a cashier took a long time looking for the bag's price tag / bar code LOL! "Beg beg ni akak ambik dari bahagian mana ye? Akak ingat tak berapa harga dia..?"

"Eh tak lah, dik. Beg-beg ni akak bawak sendiri. Untuk letak barang akak ni ha. Macam tadi akak cakap..."

Hahaha!! U made me gelak at your post! But really can't blame the cashier as there are so many different bags going on, in the market right now. For the wet items, one good way is to bring your container like those big ice-cream walls plastic box so you do not need to worry on staining your bag.

Instead of bringing these bags, I bring the extra plastic bags I have at home to the market. Once very very soiled, then they will be my garbage bags.

Sometimes when I just bought 3-4 bar of chocolates or candies & drink, i just carried bare hands, no bags such needed & I would received curious look from cashier probably wondering I'm 'normal' or not....

I still take the plastic bags especially if they're huge :P.. but will of course re-use them as garbage bags.. Coz otherwise, I'm gonna have to buy the garbage bags also, rite?
Although I do use the reusable bag as well.

Hmm.. do you guys use other than plastic bags as your garbage bag?

I experienced as such during my trip to K*md*r last weekend. At the cashier, I produced my folded RUME and ask the cashier to put in my purchase into the bag. Her colleague instead ask me, "Ni dah bukak bill ke, akak? Akak ambil kat bhgn mana ni?" When I explained that the bag is mine and it's purpose, the assistant asked, "Hmm...akak beli kat mana? K*md*r punya yek? " I just smiled and said that I got it from a shop in KL (TT). hhahahhahah

Bumping this up, for more funny stories, perhaps?

Nowadays I prefer to give RUME Bags to my fwens & colleagues, rather than giving them brooches, etc.
